Enclosing the octagonal red centre piece supported by flora forms, within a continuous linked flower head border. The reverse knotting and traditional iconography indicates the rug to be Erivan. The traditional design within the weaving center of the rug is associated with the Mountainous region of the Caucasus in Armenia
